FIRST TEST FOR BEN

Ben Wilson was quick off the mark to test his new K7 GSX-R 1000 Suzuki when he put it through its paces on a track day at Cadwell Park on Saturday. The bike was only released into the showrooms on Saturday morning but Ben was raring to go at Cadwell and despite the inclement weather put in a considerable number of laps in the shakedown test.

“The bike ran extremely well,” said Ben. “It was very smooth and comfortable to ride and I immediately gelled with it. We have done a fair few laps with the bike in stock form just to get some miles on the clock but hope to come back next week with the new forks etc in and start our proper testing.

“If the K7 goes as well as the World Superbike version I will be delighted. (Max Biaggi rode to a victory and a second place in the opening round of the World Superbike championship earlier today in Losail, Qatar and shares the series lead with James Toseland.)”
